Personal Trainer: Cooking brings gourmet cooking from around the globe to your Nintendo DS. It features a DS Chef, your own private cooking instructor who talks you through 245+ recipes from over 30 countries worldwide. It's a combination of interactive cookbook and live cooking demonstration that'll have you cooking like a pro, even if you've never lifted a ladle before. With so many recipes, you can find something new and tasty to make no matter what you're in the mood for. You can search a map by country to find regional dishes or select options for low-calorie foods, specific ingredients or short cooking times. What Customers Say About Personal Trainer: Cooking:

If you have any interest in learning how to cook, this is the best way to do it aside from classes.

just so you know. this isn't a "game" for kids.think of this as a recipe book with instructional videos

Gave as a gift.my niece is a very good little chef, specializing in desserts and casseroles.she found this helpful for new ideas on seasonings, temperature, and preparation techniques

I was really excited to get this game and got it a year ago for christmas. Anyway I give it four stars because overall I have had a pretty good experience with it. They do have a substitutes list which is helpful so they tried to remedy this problem.

There's a variety to choose from and when cooked the dishes taste delicious especially the crepes, thai food, and etc. The dish was brownish instead of orangish, which is how it is from the restaurant. I'm 21 so I'm just beginning to learn how to cook and this was a really helpful starter.

Also some dishes like the Chicken Masala comes out different from what I'm used to. My only beef with this game is that some of the recipes especially the asian ones had ingredients that are hard to come by. I live by a chinese supermarket and some of the stuff the recipes require are not even there.

Also I don't get why Curry is listed as a British dish or why there are no African dishes. The recipes are pretty simple and yummy.

The hardest part about this game was finding some of the ingredients. Think of it as a scavenger hunt. You may have to shop somewhere besides Walmart.
